Current Research: I am a visiting scholar from DAFNAE, University of Padova (Italy), where I am currently involved in a PhD program. My interest is focused on canopy-atmosphere exchange mechanics. I am particularly interested in understanding the complex relationships which link turbulence regime with the evolving plant architecture. Part of my research activity would be to check whether ACASA model can predict the inner-canopy regime I have been observing in the experiment I am managing in Italy. Furthermore, I am interested in the study of H2O, CO2 and heat fluxes between the vegetation and the atmosphere, at the moment I am running a long-term monitoring using EC method on a vineyard in the North-East of Italy.

Atmospheric Science Graduate Group

Previous Education: B.S. Electrical Engineering and Automation, Jiangsu Normal University, China
M.S. Instrument Science and Technology, Jiangsu University, China
Ph.D. Agricultural Engineering, Jiangsu University, China

Current Research: I am a joint PhD. student from School of Agricultural and Equipment Engineering, Jiangsu University (China), where I am currently involved in a PhD program. My researches are focused on atmosphere-canopy-soil energy exchange mechanics during frost night, frost disasters monitoring and control, frost protection and irrigation scheduling. I previous research was focused on using electrical property of plant to indicate the critical low temperature. Now my research activity would be to check whether ACASA model can predict the lowest temperature of tea plant canopy which can be used for the control strategy for frost protection. Furthermore, I am interested in the study of evapotranspiration and energy balance between the soil, plant and the atmosphere, at the moment I am running a long-term monitoring using SR and EC system on a tea field in the Yangzi River Region of China to develop the irrigation scheduling.
